In event photography, the lens choice changes everything, from sharpness to the emotion the image conveys.
- Zoom Lenses: Total versatility to miss nothing in chaotic moments like the party.
- Prime Lenses (Primes): Incredible sharpness and a dreamy background blur (bokeh) that looks like a painting.
For couple or quince portraits, I always choose large aperture prime lenses (f/1.4 or f/1.8). The level of artistic detail is simply superior; they create a three-dimensional separation where the subject seems to \'pop\' out of the photo, while the background melts into soft colors that don\'t distract. It\'s the difference between a common photo and one that looks like it\'s from a fashion magazine.
In addition, these lenses are our best allies in the dark. By allowing more physical light to enter the sensor, we avoid excessive use of digital grain (ISO), keeping my clients\' skin smooth and clean even under the dim candlelight of a romantic dinner. It\'s the gear that ensures your memories look as bright as the moment itself.
