The Reality:
- Detail when cropping: 48MP allows you to digital zoom without losing much quality.
- File Size: They take up much more space on your phone or PC.
- Giant Prints: They are only really necessary if you are going to print a billboard-type format.
For most, a good lens and light are much more important than raw resolution.
